After Whatever After: Escaped...? (Author's note: I know. I used this title for a chapter for Minetrapped! but...)

Sigh. We have been waiting for a while. And we are running out of time. Sigh. I turn to Rapunzel. "Can we just do the plan now?" I ask her casually. Rapunzel turns to me, arms crossed. Fine, for your and my sake. We have been waiting for a while. We will go when she has fallen asleep." Sigh. Good. We wait eagerly as dinner climbs closer. Finally, dinner arrives. We stuff ourselves, and sneak some with us, too. We wait. Technically, Rapunzel waits in her tower as we keep a look out for Mother Gothel. I scan the area. No Gothel. I give her "the signal." It stood that Mother Gothel was asleep, but we shouldn't go yet. We waited a little longer. 5 minutes. 10 minutes, and no sound. "Come on!" I whisper to Jonah, motioning him to follow me. The price is already there, waiting with a bunch of horses. We silently climb up the steps to Rapunzel's tower. "Ready?" She asks us. We nod stiffly. We help her apply the potions on and follow the instructions. After a while, it's ready. Rapunzel hooks a lock of her hair to the hook. She nods. "I'll go first." I say to Jonah, who was about to climb on. "Why, Abby? Why do you always get to go first?" He whines. I sigh and roll my eyes at him. "Jonah, I'm a girl first of all, and girls always go first. I am older than you, so I should make sure. And," I point up a finger. "I am in charge of both yours and my safety." Jonah pouts, but finally he says, "Fine." I carefully climb out the window, grasping Rapunzel's golden hair, shining in hype moonlight. I push myself down, bumping against the tower every once in a while. I pant about halfway through the passage. Rapunzel winces a little when I put my foot in an uncomfortable position. I continue climbing. I look down. TOTAL MISTAKE. Whoa. I feel dizzy. No Abby, don't throw up and barf  up roast beef on Rapunzel's beautiful hair. Ah. Better. Finally, I reach the bottom. The grass tickles my toes. The Prince helps me on a Shetland pony. I waited as Jonah started climbing down. I motion for him to go slower, but obviously, he doesn't listen. He runs to a chestnut brown horse and the Prince hooks him up. Now it is Rapunzel's turn. Like a pulley, she slides herself down on the other side and the hair slowly shortens on the other. She continues and then is down on the grass. She took off her shoes and wiggled her toes. "Wow." She said. "I never knew what grass felt like." She quickly put her shoes back on and settled herself in between a licorice black horse. The prince settles himslf on a snowy white one. "Off we go!" He whispers, which souds really weird, becaus we're whispering. He leads us to a forest behind him and gallops away. We whip our horses amd follow him. I gallop alongside with Jonah. He looks like he is having the time of his life. Me? I feel like I'm about to throw up. Blech! No, I didn't actually throw up. We continue through the froest, dodging trees and roots and bushes. A clearing comes up ahead. I squint, even though I know it is not good for me. We come closer and closer to the clearing.

Closer.

Closer.

I can just barely make out a big shadow up ahead.

Closer. It looks like, like, a castle!

And we make it through the clearing. The forest is left in our dust, with a huge, lone castle in front of our eyes. I stare in awe as we trot up to the moat bridge and walk across. The prince leaps off of his horse and knocks. A drowsy guard says, "Yaaaaaaawn. H-Halt. Who... Zzzz... Goes t-there? Yaaaaaaawn." The guard falls asleep and the prince says, "I am the king's son with fellow friends. Let us in." The guard lazily opens the door and lets us in. "Wow. We're free. We're free!" Rapunzel yell to the others.
