Cats of Kemah Boardwalk Chapter 1

I woke up in the mood for catfish. Creeping under the bushes, I kept on creeping up until I came to the fence. Beyond it was where the humans farmed their fish, and then killed the only to serve it to people to eat. They had no idea that I got an endless food supply from it.

Since there were no noisers walking around yet, I slid under the fence padding across to the edge of were the wood ends. Carefully sliding under another fence, I put my paws down on a short strip of wood and jumped down onto a lower plank.

It was dark in there, since above me were tons of planks layered across. I knew it was the floor for one of those places that I mentioned. The fish-servers. Bending down, I waited till I found the right one. There are tons of fish swimming down there. No need for waiting for them to swim to you. Suddenly I spotted a plump, fat fish swimming lazily in the murky waters.

Instantly I scooped it up and grabbed it in my jaws as it was flopping in midair. Those fish are airborne!
I quickly padded over to where I was staying for now and sat down, grooming myself. When I bit into the soft flesh warm flavors flooded my mouth. There is nothing more tasty than fish.

As soon as I finished my meal, I heard a female voice above me. Safely hidden from view under the bushes, I pricked my ears toward the sound. As soon as I heard the human walk away, I rushed out to my hiding place for when all the noisers come.

Why did I go? Because I knew that the noisers (people that make the place noisy) were coming . The human worker said so. Yes, I can understand humans.
