Albus Potter Chapter 2

Albus changed into his rooms and went back to his compartment, but the train lurched to stop. Rose and Naomi got out of their compartments, and Kale came with Albus. Albus, Kale, and James hurried out of the train followed by Rose and Naomi. When they got out, it was dark, the sky painted royal blue and the stars glistening on the sky confidently. Albus couldn't stare at the sky, because a large man with a graying beard was standing before him. "'lo there, Albus." The man boomed unexpectedly and Albus jumped. "I'm Hagrid. Good ter meet yer. I was here when yer father were here. I'm  the care o' magical creatures teacher. Good friend of yer father, yer aunt... yeah, i knew yer uncle too, Albus." The man, named Hagrid continued. Hagrid raised hid soccer-ball sized hands in the air and yelled, "FIRS' YEARS FOLLOW MEH!"
A large, chattering group of first year girls came up, and then a whole lot of them, and slowly the amount became open. "Blimey, its a big group of firs' years this time..." Hagrid mumbled and held up a flaming torch and gingerly lead the first years to a large body of water, then escorted all the first years into small boats. "Two kids per boat!" Hagrid shouted at Rose, Naomi, and James who were trying to fit in one boat. Rose turned crimson. Albus got in a boat with a girl with purple hair, having no other choice for all the other boats were taken up. Albus found it a relief the girl didn't ask him if he were Harry Potter's son.
The boats stopped beside a large castle. It had towers, and a field. It looked nothing less but a magical picture painted across the royal-blue of the night, but it was not a painting, but real. Albus got off his boat, holding on land for dear life, and approached the castle. The girl with purple hair had walked away. Naomi and Kale walked with Albus into the castle. Snow Chang, Cho Chang's daughter, was at the far right. Albus saw Scorpius Malfoy with two other boys. They entered the Hogwarts Castle. At the oak front doors was the headmaster, her fingers intertwined. "Students," The headmaster said, and all of the students payed a great deal of attention. "You are about to enter Hogwarts. Before the semester, you may be sorted into your houses. The houses are Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, Gryffindor, and Slytherin. Your good deeds will earn your house points, while your rulebreaking," The headmaster,Professor DeVon, looked over at a few girls who were trying to stick something on James's back, "Your rulebreaking concludes to losing points. The end of the year will contain a contest. The house with most points shall be awarded the house cup. Does all understand?"
Everyone nodded.
DeVon let all of them in the Hogwarts Great hall. The sky of the Great Hall was bewitched to look like the night sky, there were four long tables where third, fourth, fifth, and sixth years were seated. All of the teachers sat at a long table at the front; DeVon sat in the headmaster seat, beaming. "All students, welcome back," DeVon said, smiling curtly, "This year is, to my expectations, bound to be better than the last. All students are to be well behaved, as normal, and please make sure you are all paying attention in your classes, for they result to your end-of-year results. To continue on, let's make sure that everyone gets along well. No student is to hurt another, i am making that rather clear. I hope that nobody's fate is the detention room. Now, before the start-of-term feast, let the sorting began. All first years, when I call your name, come up and put on the hat."
DeVon flicked her wand and a chair with a hat on it appeared out of nowhere. The hat opened a tear near its brim and sang,
Welcome, Welcome all first years
get ready to face your fears
for my job is to sort you into
a house that you tru-ly belong to.
When Hogwarts was first made,
four great wizards ruled the place
and together they discussed in a room
what kind of students they'd enter soon
Salazar Slytherin said with great might,
all the pure-blood wizards are surely right
but Gryffindor cut plainly in,
"but the brave ones is not a sin"
but then Ravenclaw came on,
"The smart ones are the ones i long,"
then Hufflepuff said "fine,
"then all the rest are surely mine"
So which house shall you be?
your personality holds the key
i shall tell you which house you should crave,
for my decisions are not naive.
The crowd broke into applause.
