Jay observered Oliver with a deep face. He could tell something was wrong. For one, he stopped training early and wasn't pushing them as much. Then, as he was passing by, he heard Oliver's deep, smooth voice. " They won't like it. Any action that they have, it can weaken of strengthen their powers. This one is probably going to weaken their powers because it's too sudden. They need time to settle." The trainers talked for a minute. Jay listened intently. At least he wasn't sleeping this time! " I see. But this is IMPORTANT. We NEED to tell them. Horonza is in even MORE danger! If we tell the breaking news too late, their powers will weaken at the wrong time." More mumbling and murmuring." Well, I guess first thing tomorrow we'll have to tell them at breakfast. They could have a small time to recover." Oliver said, admitting defeat. Jay hurried back to his room before they knew that he was eavesdropping. He ran until he found the others and told them what he had heard. " Hmm..." Ursula said in deep thought. " Could it be another enemy? A helper? A greater fate for Horonza?" " I don't know" Blake said, " But HOW one of the trainers said that Horonza is in more hot water, it's not good." " Or maybe it"s a two for one deal" Ariel said. " More enemies and some more help." " But it's settled that it's most likely to be something bad. And if I remember correctly, Jay said that Oliver said that our actions can effect our powers, so now, since we know, we shouldn't be able to be surprised about it. We just have to pretend, or else Oliver might think that we already know about it. Two conversations we have heard, important and top secret. Let's call it a night" Ursula said. Jay stumbled into bed, tossing and turning. Okay Jay. Deep breath. He thought. The moon shone through his window. He slowly closed his eyes.
" Okay." Oliver announced. " We have some bad news." Jay, Ariel, Blake and Ursula pretended to be surprised. " Unfortunately, we have found the source that is causing Horonza to fall, and it's not a virus. Some newcomers have come to Horonza and have brought in these different powers. They do not possess forces of nature like we do, they possess a certain power of destruction. They are known as the Never named ones in this land because we have never encountered them. Their barbaric ways have been hurting Horonza, and they have been here since the beginning of Horonza. We do not notice them until now because now they have grown at an alarming height. They have come back more powerful and more vicious than ever." Blake nodded slightly and everyone pretended to be surprised. This news, to Jay, had hit him than more than he thought that it would. This was going to be tough. How can some young kids defeat something that great warriors couldn't? Jay figited. He hoped that every strong suit would come to him as soon as they were ready to fight the Never named ones.
I am a little confused about the weakening of powers...maybe the next installment of this series will clear that up for me :)
