Magic upon Magic: My quest dream
Chiron listens carefully to my questions and answer them slowly and cautiously, as if he were trying to do two things at once, but he isn't. "I see." He said, nodding his head as half of his face was ulumimated and the other was dark. I listen to him carefully.
Exhausted from the fun in the sing-along, I go to bed. Scratch that. I read a couple of pages and then go to bed. I immediately fall asleep.
"Child, you are now needed. You must leave Camp Half-Blood to Camp Jupiter." Says Hecate, holding her torches high above her. "Why?" I ask. "Why not Hogwarts like you said?" I say as I twirl my hair around. She touches me. "Hogwarts has not yet been a threat to magic. Tell the centaur. Tell Dionysus." "Mr. D.?" I question. "Yes. Roman magic." Hecate's image flickers to form a different person, one that looks like she has three bodies, looks a bit more warlike, and then flickers back to her normal self. "You are a demi-god, not a demi-Titan, like my other children. That is what makes you different from my other children." Her torches show the form she has taken: Long, black hair with shocking green eyes, which I actually have rainbow eyes. She continues, as of nothing had happened. "Venture forth, and bring two demi-gods with you to help on your quest. The Mist is with you. I will help you, for magic depends on you, dear child. I would prefer an Athena child, but I have seen that you have not gone along very well with them. An Athena child is one of the best demi-gods you can get, for they are wise and know what's best. If not, maybe Lou, your counselor. A Hermes child would be fine..." She casts a faraway look, her torches glowing brightly. She snaps out of the trance as I say, "Yes?" She looks at me, regaining her, her, godly posture. "Let your sister Circe help you, but if you do except her help, do not bring a male. If you do not, you may do so. But beware, if you unexpectedly wound up at her island, the cunning male will suffer greatly; Circe favors girls like you, thinking that boys are unimportant, but truly, they are, and you will see why." Hecate continues as a polecat emerges from behind. "What?" Hecate says impatiently, turning to the polecat. It chitters to her. "Fine." Hecate snaps at her. "Pardon. Do you wish to say something?" She shoots at the polecat. It chitters again. "Fine. I shall tell her." Hecate turns to me. "She," Hecate says, jabbing her finger at the polecat, "wishes to follow you to, er, in other words, report your actions on your long quest, but does not count as one of your companions. The polecat slithers my way, finally climbing up my shoulder. Hecate looks at the polecat as she chitters again. "Yes. Satisfied?! What for?! Oh. No, that doesn't matter." Hecate turns to me. "Please forgive her. She is always wanting something." I raise my eyebrows to the polecat. It chitters at me, and I seem to understand that it is saying, "Wake up, Lo'Reena."
I wake up like a zombie again. Lou jumps. "Ah!!! Get that horrible thing off of me!" She screams, emerging from the shadows, presenting the polecat. "Get off." I demand to her, and the polecat climbs down Lou's slender body and climbs to my shoulder. "Wait. Isn't that...?" I look at her. "Yes. Why?" Lou waves me away as she goes to her side of the cabin. Sometimes, I feel like Lou is my sister, which she kind of is, but sometimes, we snap back to reality. Since I am already awake, I trudge down to breakfast. The camp looks deserted, but know that it really isn't because I hear snoring sounds. I walk into the mess hall, this time practically no one is there but an Athena kid. She walks up to me. "I heard you were going on a quest and I thought I might want to join you." I recognize that brunette hair... I snap my fingers. Pushed was the one who let me in the Athena cabin yesterday! "Maybe." I say. "But pack just in case." Well, at least one Athena kid isn't mad at me. I look back at that day. Oh! She was never late! I heard the door slam in the middle of the conversation! It must have been her! Hmm.. She does seem smart... If I count her, one to go, and I need a stop at the Hermes cabin.

* rephrasing ideas in the blog that made me think, made me feel, or helped me learn
to let the blogger know his/her voice has been heard.
* commenting specifically and positively, without criticism. If I disagree, I will
comment appropriately, politely stating my perspective.
* being mindful always that I may be a role model to my audience, especially if they
