I gasped. "Ch-c-champion? Hoenn? They said... they said the Champion of Hoenn was the most powerful and hottest Champion ever!"
Blue looked perplexed. "Hottest? Powerful, I understand. What is up with girls?"
I stood in thought. "But... if he's the Champion, wouldn't you have to defeat the Elite Four first?"
Blue tossed his Pokeball in the air and caught it in his belt. "Please. This'll be a piece of cake."
~~~
For Blue, perhaps. He whizzed through Sidney, Phoebe, and Glacia with just Charizard!
He was battling Drake's last Pokemon, Salamence.
"Charizard, Hyper Beam!" Salamence was down to seventeen HP.
"SALAMENCE. DRAGON CLAW." The wickedly sharp claws of Salamence slashed up and down Charizard's face.
"Charizard, hang in there. Power herb! Now, another Hyper Beam!"
Salamence was instantly knocked out.
"Go on boy, to the next room. There, you will face the truly fears- oh, whatever. Just go on."
~~~~~
When I saw Steven, my heart practically stopped.
Blue was nothing compared to Steven. Steven was gorgeous, with perfectly messy spiked silver hair, stony, ice-like silvery eyes, elegance, ever-so-slightly tan skin, and absoulutely gorgeous everything.
Blue thrust his throwing hand forward with a Pokeball.
"I, Champion Blue, challenge Steven Stone, Champion of Hoenn!"
Steven merely bowed. He inspected a Pokeball in his hand.
"Ah, Champion on Champion. But of course. Just my Steel types, or my full team?"
"Just Steel--- wait, you're a Steel Master? I thought you were a Dark--- whatever."
"Just Steel types? Skarmory, come."
Blue threw the Pokeball with extreme force, Charizard coming out an inch from Steven.
Steven practically dropped the Pokeball.
DANG. For such a gorgeously elegant hot guy, he had some pretty sweet Pokemon.
Skarmory had super-sharp wings, a razor beak, dark, slit eyes, and claws like personal knives.
"Oh, Steel. This'll be easy. Charizard, fire spin!"
Charizard spun an arch of deadly fire and it engulfed Skarmory.
Steven smiled lightly.
"Fly."
Skarmory shot into the air like a bullet and dove towards Charizard even faster. Skarmory hit Charizard in the stomach and clawed him against a wall.
"Steel wing."
Skarmory's red-silver wings turned sold, shining in darkness. He slashed at Charizard in deadly quick archs.
"Charizard! C'mon, up!"
Steven gave Blue the coldest, cruelest glare I had ever seen.
"Do you not care for your Pokemon? Draw Charizard back, or make it suffer."
"CHARIZARD CAN FIGHT, YOU IDIOT!" Blue yelled.
Steven raised an eyebrow. "Idiot? Well, it was worth a try. Flash Cannon."
A beam of thick blue light. Charizard was gone in seconds.
"C-Charizard... return. Damn it. Oh, whatever. Tyranitar, let's go!"
Steven picked off his Tyranitar, Exeggutor, Gyarados, and Alakazam with just Skarmory.
"Pidgeot, PLEASE, don't fail me!"
Steven thought about this. "Skarmory! Bird on bird? Does this seem fair to you?"
Skarmory played along and pretended to think. Then he shook his head and returned to Pokeball.
Steven fake-shrugged. "Hmm, I seem to think that this trainer does not respect his Pokemon. I think... I know you are Blue Oak, am I right, or not? The rival of Red? He came just last week, said he was heading to Sinnoh next. Very impressive trainer. Lost to me, of course, much impressive, though. Loved his Pokemon like his children. He had a Blastoise, though. Ah. METAGROSS, show this trainer your dark side!"
'METAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGROSS!'
Blue gulped. "Pidgeot... use... what's the use? Let's go, Pidgeot. Silver?"
I stared at him. "You're disgusting."
Blue looked like there were explosions in his eyes. "OH, SAYING THAT 'CAUSE STEVEN'S HERE? JUST TRYING TO IMPRESS HIM? I don't need any of you."
The memory blasted into my mind again.
~~~~~~~~~
"I don't need any of you! RED, you're useless, weak! Grandpa, you're defenseless, WEAK! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU ALL! YOU AREN'T MY FAMILY!" Blue tore off the amulet and threw it to the ground.
Rain. Blue rushing back to the amulet, clipping it back on and walking away.
"Charmeleon, c'mon."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I hardly see what I have to do with this." Steven yawned.
"Well, for starters, girls seem to think you're the most impressive thing on the planet!"
Steven pretend-stretched. "And.... Skarmory, let's leave."
I glared at Blue. "I'm leaving, too."
"Silver, Silver, WAIT!"
"Go away."
I leave the building and step into some cave.
And in second, huge slit red eyes stare me in the face.
