Hetalians: Chapter 3

I admit, they were enchanting. Yes, they. There were two. One girl, one boy. They were both super pale. (Note: well, not hideous chalky pale like banshees, but more like beautiful Snow White pale) The girl had jet-black, glossy, straight-and-long hair, the difference was the boy had short, slicked-back (also) silver-white hair. The girl had a turquoise, gold-trimmed kimono, and the boy had one of those purple Chinese boy's suit with a golden seal silhouette. (Note: You are my new best friend if you can tell me what the heck those are called) The boy had two silver, double-bladed swords strapped over his back, and the girl had one black katana by her side. The girl had intense silver-turquoise eyes, while the boy had red eyes like Prussia's.
The boy spoke. He had a melodious, though quiet voice that echoed through the whole room. "We aren't evil, do not worry," He laughed. "Many do assume we are evil. I'm Greenland, alliance with Malaysia. I'm also Canada's older brother. But I am doubting you know him. Malaysia, why do you be silent?" The pretty girl tucked a lock of black behind her ear.
"Um, Hi. I'm Malaysia, like Greenland said. I'm technically part of the Asian Empire, though I would be surprised if China or Japan knew me. I'm not awfully well-known." She had a soft, gentle voice.
China looked dreamy. "I have met you in dreams, I reason." Japan kicked him. Taiwan looked irritated.
Philippines crossed her arms. "..." Honduras looked grim. "Hmm.."
Malaysia looked a little embarrassed. "I... don't actually know my way around here. Could somebody---"
China instantly stood up. "I WILL!" Everyone stared at him. "Uh, I'd be more than happy to escort you, ma'am." Japan kicked him. Taiwan looked incredibly irritated.
"My problem is the sa--" Hungary and Taiwan stood up.
"Uh... well, I supposed both of you could--"
"I won't trouble Hungary. I'll do it." Taiwan said happily.
Japan looked like he was about to say something. "Taiwan!" But then he turned red and sat down.
Taiwan smiled and brushed her long black sheet of hair back. "Silly Japan. Don't worry, just go to the Asia Memorial with Tokyo, or something."
Japan didn't look happy with that suggestion. "No, Taiwan! You promised, you did!"
"Japan... please?"
Japan was too angry. "No! You'll stay with me, whether Greenland's here or NOT! I'm staying with you, even if you go with him!"
"Japan.... can you--"
"NO. Taiwan, I'm sorry, but--" He looked at everyone around him. "--I love you."
Taiwan gasped.
"Omigosh that is so sweet!" Hungary squealed.
"Uh, well, more or less, at least." Japan said, scarlet, rubbing the back of his head.
Taiwan looked ultra-confused. "Um. Well... maybe we should talk. Hungary?"
"No. Belarus, could you...?"
Belarus sighed. "FINE. Russia, let's have some cuddle time after!"
Russia stared. "No."
Latvia chuckled nervously. "Don't worry, Russia, you can go with Belarus, I'll clean your incredibly out-of-date tacky clothes that look like they're from the 1600's!"
Russia's eyes shone with anger. "KOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOLKOL"
Austria jumped in. "Russia! You are the tip-top of style, the ruler, the mod of stylish!"  He glared at Latvia. Russia slowly sat down. Lithuania quickly grabbed Russia some Vodka.
Taiwan brushed back her hair and ran from the room. Japan looked embarrassed.
"I-I'll talk to her," He stuttered. "For a little."
He left. America stood up. "Say aye somebody spies on them?"
The whole room was filled with 'aye'.
"I'll do it." I muttered, walking out of the door and peeking outside.
~~~~~
"Japan... is it true?" Taiwan whispered, running her finger down an oak tree.
Japan turned a brilliant shade of scarlet. "Truly. You know, these oak trees- they are not as pretty as the ones in my country."
Taiwan was pretty shade of pink. "Japan... you are kind. And you are honest. You are respectful, loving, caring, considerate."
Japan turned to look Taiwan in her sparkly pink-diamond eyes. "Thank you, Taiwan."
"But I love China."
Japan dropped his katana. "What?"
"I love China... sorry." She whispered, like a rose petal falling to the ground.
Japan's eyes turned the color of a crow. "Oh. Oh. But... why?" He asked, silent words barely slipping out of his lips.
"You are too silent for me. China is fun, and loud, and athletic, and social. What can I say? The heart does what the mind says it should do. You are free to talk to China about that if you want..."
Japan sunk down. "Sure. Yes, yes, OK."
~~~~~~~~~~
That night I found Japan on his paper again. What he wrote got me thinking. Taiwan doesn't love him anymore? Did she like him at some point. Japan stood and saw me. He turned sickly green. "Serbia. I'm going to talk to Japan. You may follow, but do not interfere."
I closed the door, but peeked in. Japan opened a closet and took out something wrapped in jade-colored silk. He took out the something inside and I gasped softly.
"My friend and enemy.... it is time to use you once again.... for real...."
I felt instant pity on China, that he would be hurt, that he would no longer ally Japan. I felt pity on Japan... the sweet, innocent person I thought he was was washed away by waves of blood.
Cradled in Japan's hand was an eagle-sized, blood-coated katana, sharp as a sword's dream.
