A Deadly Spell: Chapter 3

Ash didn't want to be there. She had seen enough. She was ready to finish Deathany once and for all.
"Control your temper Ash, I know this is hard for you," Flora quietly said to Ash. Ash didn't need a reminder of what needed to be done.
"She killed her. That's the only reason I need for bringing her down," Ash growled, her voice full of sorrow and anger. It was Icicle's funeral, just a few days after Deathany had killed her. Ash was staying as quiet as she could, trying not to make a scene over her friend.
"I... I'm sorry. I just wouldn't believe that Deathany could be so... so... evil," Ash apologized.
"Ash, could you please say your happiest memory of Icicle like I've been asking you to do?" a vampire asked. Ash looked at Flora and Cari, and she both nodded.
"I speak for Flora, Cari, and myself when I say this. Our happiest memory of Icicle is all of the happy times we were together. I don't want to get into details," Ash said, shoveling a bit of earth over Icicle's coffin which was a deep blue to represent her element type. The real burial began when everyone but a frostbell, Icicle's favorite flower, on top of the thin layer of earth. Ash pulled something different out, as did Flora and Cari. Their items were to be on another thin layer of earth, and when that was done, the three girls were to put their items in while saying why the item was going down there.
"This was Icicle's favorite necklace. She wore it all the time and I was the one that gave it to her," Cari said and threw the necklace down into the pit.
"My item is this book, which is really her diary. I was the only one who could hack into it," Flora said, dropping the book which landed with a thud. Ash then took out a small, stuffed orca.
"This was Icicle's favorite thing in the whole world. I have one just like it," Ash said, gently placing the fire red orca on the earth. Everyone left as the grave was completely covered and the tombstone was placed.
"Why did she have to be the first?" Ash asked her friends.
"We may never know. Let's go home," Flora said, placing a hand on Ash's shoulder.
"I'll be there soon. If I don't get there in thirty minutes, come find me," Ash said. Her friends left her there by Icicle's grave, and then Ash took off, back toward the underworld to take care of Deathany once and for all.
