The Knight of Exorcism: Chapter 1

Sorry, guys... it's request series. Aaron was killing me to make this one. EVEN WORSE: It's an anime request series. GOD, I didn't want to do this. I was actually going to just do some calm realistic fiction. But Aaron was just like,
READY STEADY DON'T HOLD ME BACK READY STEADY GIVE ME GOOD LUCK READY STEADY NEVER LOOK BACK LET'S GET STARTED READY STEADY GO!
(Sorry, inside joke. But he did actually say that.)
Yeah, I know, Blue Exorcist.
Um, the main character is a Intermediate First-Class Knight Exorcist.
(To those who don't know Blue Exorcist, it may sound fancy but it's actually a pretty common and normal title.)
Female. ...so, yeah. Does that cover it? I guess.
I'm trying to get her to make a friendly relationship with Yukio, Rin, ESPECIALLY Shiemi, and Suguro. Emphasis on Shiemi.
If you watch Fairy Tail, point out something and you're awesome!

I was dead nervous. Dead dead nervous. Like I was facing Satan in battle, but worse. (OK, maybe I'm over exaggerating.) I fingered my coat, my hair, my face, my jeans, my shirt, my bag, and my sword until they felt like they would fall off.
All the kids- no, students- were seated, eyes on me. It felt weird, being younger than some of the kids in this room, yet still being the teacher.
"Uh, hey." I'm so not cut out for this kind of thing. "I'm Brooklyn Montiago, your teacher."
They were quiet.
A slight push of confidence pulsed in me, somewhere. "I know I'm younger than some, or most, of you, but I'm still your teacher, and you're still in training! I do have slight superiority over you, so you'd better be sure to have respect!"
They stared, a blonde girl with slight fear.
"But I won't be treating you harshly, so don't get the wrong impression!"
A kid in the middle raised his hand. He had dark navy hair and incredibly blue eyes. "Um, you?" I said, eyeing him.
"What's your Exorcism Class and rank?"
I stuttered. "U-uh, Intermediate First Class. I'm a knight, as you can see by my sword."
His mouth formed an 'o'. "You said your name was Brooklyn. Are you American?"
"As a matter of fact, yes. I'm from New York City."
"New... York... City...? I'm Rin!"
"Rin Okumura?" I chirped in surprise.
"Yep!"
"I met your brother, Yuki. He said, uh... nice... things about you."
"That was sarcasm."
I nodded. "Yeah, pretty much."
~-~-~
Yukio walked up to me at lunch. "Hey. I have nobody to eat with, uh, is it OK--"
"Yeah, I don't have anyone either."
Yukio sat down. "How was Rin?"
"...slightly different. Though, he wasn't a dense moron."
Yukio blushed. "Oh, yes. It may have been an exaggeration. Rin isn't always that bad."
I nodded thoughtfully and bit into my sandwich.
"Once you get to know him, he's annoying. But it's a good sign, technically. He only acts like a moron around people he feels secure with."
"So..."
"Well, that's what I think, anyway. I've noticed he's pretty idiotic with his friends. But then again, he always is."
I laughed. "So it's just a theory? Or you think it's true?"
"Kind of both, actually. A true theory- oh, it's my teaching time. Lunch was cut off a bit today. See you later."
"Of course."
~-~-~
"OK, your assignment today- memorize NIV John Verse 14 and recite it tomorrow. Class dismissed!"
When everyone had filed out, I fell back in my chair.
Yukio stepped in. "Uh, I heard that assignment."
"And...?" I asked.
"It was NIV John Verse 13, not 14."
"Oh, god. Do I have to telecommunicate?"
"You have telepathy? I guess you could do that, in that case."
I sent the message to all the kids.
An unintended sigh escaped my mouth. "It's weird, being younger than some students in this class."
Yukio raised an eyebrow. "How old are you?"
"14..." I muttered.
"So, I'm older than you. And so is Rin. And Suguro. Even Shiemi."
"Thanks for making me feel bad, Yukio."
Yuki turned his head to the side. "It's not necessarily bad. I'm just stating the fact you're younger."
"So, is that good or bad?"
"I dunno. 'Or', maybe?"
I slightly smiled and rolled my eyes. "Great answer, dude. Anyway--"
"COMING THROUGH MOVE OUT OF THE WAY I NEED SOME HELP!"
Rin blasted through the door and slammed it behind him.
Yukio jumped up. "What?"
"Do. Not. Open. This. Door."
"Rin, what the heck did you do?" I asked.
He took a deep breath. "So. Many. Coal. Tars."
"How many?"
"Uh, estimated 500-600?"
"What the heck, Rin?!" Yukio took out his guns.
"I suggest you don't open that!" Rin squeaked.
Yukio opened the door.
"Oh, sh!t." I said.
Yukio rapidly started to shoot.
I took out my sword. "Karyu no Tekken!"
My sword was engulfed in red flames and I swung it across the mound of coal tars.
I sheathed my sword as they disintegrated.
Yukio's jaw dropped. "What-- what was that?"
"Karyu no Tekken? Uh, just some attack."
"Teach it to me!" Yelped Rin.
"Um, it can't be taught, exactly."
"Then how did you learn it? Do they teach that in America?"
"No..."
Yukio pointed a gun against my head. "Where the heck are you from?"

Sceneries being blown away seem to whirl in front of me
Even if I get desperate, I won't overlook my target anymore
An unreliable map should be burnt
I'll grasp onto the buried truth with my hands
    I came running frantically -hastily-
The throb of my heartbeats feels deafening enough to burst
    Your voice is echoing -shouting-
There's no time to be like standing still here
    READY STEADY GO
Even if my countless wounds get hugged
For a moment and gently, I won't let my soul get taken
On the other side of that hill, if I met you
I'd only think about what to start talking from
    I came running frantically -hastily-
The throb of my heartbeats feels deafening enough to burst
    Your voice is echoing -shouting-
There's no time to be like standing still here
    READY STEADY GO
READY STEADY CAN'T HOLD ME BACK
READY STEADY GIVE ME GOOD LUCK
    READY STEADY NEVER LOOK BACK
LET'S GET STARTED READY STEADY GO
My heart -runs- underneath that sky
I can't stop my idle feelings from crying out
Surely I'll -reach- you in a little while
The sunlight shines hotly across this path
    READY STEADY GO
    PLEASE. TRUST ME.
Since Tris already took the Fairy Tail one, I put the lyrics for Ready Steady Go.
