Traveling
Ariel bucked to her horse. It was a bit of a rough one, but she had finally made friendly with them. " Come on!" Blake yelled. Knowing him, he had grown up on a farm, and of course, they had horses. In fact, besides Oliver, he was in front of all of them. I guess from experience. Ariel thought with a small shrug. Everyone trudged on. Suddenly, they heard Oliver's commanding voice. "Stop." Everyone halted to a stop. He observed the ground. He whispered then, "Binders." Ariel nodded curtly. Binders were ones who forced a force of nature into the bearer, also being able to give them easy control through them. "Careful." Oliver said. "Do not show your Marks." The Mark was what symbolized if you had a force of nature of not. Everyone hid their Marks by pulling down their sleeves. They carefully walked through Lorondia. Jay smiled. Must be his hometown. Ariel suddenly felt homesick. Her family worked for the Lord of her home, and he would be generous and give them extra because they've worked hard all day. Now, Ariel's family was making progress. Binders were selling the Hilono. The Hilono was what the Binders used to force the power of nature to go into the bearer. Ariel shivered to the thought of drinking the Hilono. Binders spotted them. Ariel felt scared. One wrong move and... Ariel quietly made a movement with one finger pointing out while swiping her neck all the way across. Death. She shivered." Well, we have some travelers!" One of them said. It suddenly reminded Ariel of her great uncle John when he was still alive and young. He had thick, bushy eyebrows, slicked sandy brown hair, and had a long and lanky form. "Would you like to try the Hilono?" He asked, offering the potion under their faces. "No." Oliver huffed, his arms crossed. "No? Have had a force of nature bonded into you yet?" "No." Oliver repeated. "You haven't? Are you sure?" Oliver violently shook his head." Hmm.. Then we're going to have to force you to show the Mark!" "No." Oliver said calmly. The man tugged on Blake's sleeve. A flame was pressed to his skin. It didn't hurt, but a small flash of light would show if you had the force. The symbol would first appear on your forehead, but soon later appear on another place. (Author's note: Read chapter one of The Four Elements) "Go!" Oliver yelled. Ariel reacted quickly. If the Binders found out that you had made a bond naturally, they could kill you or keep you as a hostage within. Ariel's hair whipped in the speed that her horse gave her. It was also some help with her powers. She was still new to it, but she could do simple, strong things. She moved the gust to the others. They went a bit faster too, with the wind pushing on them, making the horses to go forward to the power of the wind. They galloped until they reached a dark forest. They had stopped for the night. Ariel thought about the events through the day, mostly about the Binders. She shivered. Just traveling could have just the most dangerous and difficult obstacles, like the Binders.
I really like how you are being so descriptive about the characters. It helps the reader get a better visual on them. Looking forward to the rest of this story...
