I'll have to admit, I was a bit stunned and gleeful at the same time. Had Blue really TALKED to me? Or was it a dream? No, I was sure it was real. I stared at the water for a few minutes. Then a little Pokemon rolled onto the shore. It was a Spheal. My first instinct was to throw a Great Ball.
It shook twice.... and the Spheal burst out.
"ANGEL! DRAGON PULSE!" He curled around Spheal and started emitting blue light. He got off and a burn ring was over Spheal's right eye. Then I threw a great ball. It clicked.
"Your new name is..................................... Snowball!"
I tucked the ball into my bag. "Wow. This is so great! A real SPHEAL in Kanto, Pallet, even, of ALL THE PLACES! Angel, isn't it great?"
'Drat-drat-tini!' Angel agreed happily.
"So, little miss dragon types lives in Pallet?" I hear the male nightingale again.
"What do you want, dude?" Flare starts growling. I glare at him.
He strokes his Shinx. "Oh, not much. Just a single battle- with your Dratini. You win, I give you my Raikou pup. I win, you give me that Dratini."
Angel bared his teeth. He stuck out his hand. I shook it. "Deal!"
"Well, let's get started. Let's go, Twilight! Let's get her's with a quick little ELECTRO BALL!"
'Shin-shin-Shinx!' He opened his maw, and a ball of electricity started forming inside.
"Angel....erm, use....... Dragon Pulse!"
'DRATINI!' He sped towards the Shinx, but it was too fast.
'SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINX!' He flipped onto Angel's head and zapped the Electro ball onto Angel's head. Angel fell to the floor.
"ANGEL, NOOOO!"
Then a Charizard's feet stomped onto the floor.
"W-what? Is that.... no, it can't be......"
Blue flipped himself off. "Nobody ever said I couldn't be in the battle."
"Are you.... Blue.... Blue Oak? Kanto league champion? What're you doing here?"
He grinned. "I live here, genius."
"In Pallet? Shouldn't you be living somewhere a lot awesomer, like Cinnabar, of Fuchsia?"
Blue gave him a stony glare. "I know you. You're Shane Darkchen, that guy who lost to Lance."
"Hey, I'd like to see you defeat his Dragonite!"
"I have already. Dozens of times. Tyranitar, you think you can combine an Earthquake with a Thunderbolt? GO!" He threw Tyranitar's pokeball. How he catches them without Ultra balls and Great balls, I don't know...
'TYRANT-TAR!' It roared. A crack appeared in the ground, and kept getting bigger, and bigger...
then a thunder cloud shook the sky.
Shane was about to say something. Then he hopped onto Scythe and gripped his sword-horn.
"C'mon, Scythe. We don't have time to deal with them." He and Scythe zoomed away like a Raikou.
Blue laughed. "Tyranitar, return." The usual beam shot out to retrieve Tyranitar.
"Well that made him go running."
I snickered. I hopped onto my bike. Angel curled around my neck. Flare was in the basket.
I started biking.
"Hey, hey, wait! Are you gonna go without my gift?"
I turned curiously. "Gift?"
He reaches into his bag and pulls out... a Pokemon egg.
"HOLY MEW! Is that a.... Pokemon egg?"
He beamed. "Yep. For you, Silver."
My jaw dropped as I put it into my bag. I stared at it for a few seconds.
"This is for just because," He hopped onto Charizard. "Let's go, buddy."
Blue and Charizard flew into the distance, while I sat in a daze.
