The Four Elements: Welcome to Slynania
"Welcome to Slynania" Oliver pronounced happily. Blake looked around. This was nothing like home. Every bit of land was full of color, unlike most lands in Horonza. Ursula must have noticed too. " This is so beautiful. Most of Horonza's lands have brown and black!" Oliver smiled mysteriously. " Ah. You have noticed, but one thing for the secret to Slynania's greatness to the colourfulness': Happiness. If you walk around here, everyone is happy. And if everyone s happy and can work together, they strive upon others." Blake nodded. Maybe that's what WE need... Happiness. If we try not to worry, maybe we can work together to restore Horonza! Oliver's voice shattered his thoughts." We will be staying with the Lord of Slynania: Lord Cormandes." Blake suddenly thought of war. Again, Oliver somehow, read his thoughts." It might sound like war, but he's actually very nice if you know the right side of him." Everyone nodded, but they looked unsure. They horses trotted down the road to the castle to Lord Cormandes'. Blake leaned over ever so slightly to Ursula. " Careful!" she whispered. " Right. What do you think of this guy?" he whispered back. " I'm not sure, but if Oliver is willing to trust him, I will too." Blake nodded with an "eh" face. Oliver knocked on the door. " Who is it?" a guard asked loudly. " It is thee Oliver ( Or is it thy? Oliver muttered under his breath.). Thy have come with kindly friends." " Augh, I'm horrible at this old time accent!" Oliver whispered to them. " The Slynanians are one of the only ones who still use that old accent." Blake and Jay shared a perplexed look. Why would they use that? ( Author's note to Slynanians:There's like, a bit more... MODERN accent! Hello???) " Welcome to thy honorary Lord Cormandes' most grand ( The guard put a little roll to grand.) castle!" the guard announced ever so proudly.

The Art and Aspirations of a Commenter
I believe in the power of a free exchange of ideas. I also recognize that words or access to
some information can be of harm to others, intentionally or unintentionally. As a
commenter, I therefore aspire to participate responsibly in the great online conversation
by:
* treating all bloggers with respect.
* seeking first to understand what is being said.
* celebrating another's accomplishments.
* using school appropriate language.
* rephrasing ideas in the blog that made me think, made me feel, or helped me learn
to let the blogger know his/her voice has been heard.
* commenting specifically and positively, without criticism. If I disagree, I will
comment appropriately, politely stating my perspective.
* being mindful always that I may be a role model to my audience, especially if they
are younger than I.
* making no reference to, link to, and/or giving access to any information that may
be inappropriate for a school setting.
* asking at least one question in my comment with the hopes of continuing a
conversation and deepening thinking.
* using a triple check before submitting any comment: Would I be happy to have my
mother read this comment? My grandmother? My favorite teacher?
